What does it really mean to be a "come as you are" church? Does Jesus expect us to clean up our lives before we come to Him, or does He meet us right where we are? ❤️

In this week's message from our Come & See series, we explore Luke 5:27-32 and the story of Jesus calling Levi, a tax collector, to follow Him. Through this powerful encounter, we discover what it looks like to love people the way Jesus does, welcome others without judgment, and create a church where everyone has a seat at the table.

Jesus didn't wait for Levi to change before inviting him to follow. He met him where he was, shared a meal with people others rejected, and offered an invitation that would change his life forever.

As followers of Jesus, we're called to do the same. That means making the first move, building genuine relationships, extending grace instead of judgment, and recognizing that we all need the transforming power of Jesus in our lives.

Come as you are, but don't stay that way. Jesus welcomes us exactly where we are, but He loves us too much to leave us unchanged.

What if following Jesus means caring deeply about the one who is still missing?

In Week 1 of our new series, Come and See, we look at the heart of Jesus for people who are far from God. In Matthew 18, Jesus describes a shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine to search for one lost sheep. It’s a powerful picture of the rescue mission of Jesus and the mission He has now given to us.

Every person changed by Jesus has a rescue story. We were once the one who was lost, and Jesus came looking for us. So what happens when we remember what it felt like to be found?

This message challenges us to notice the people God has already placed around us, pray for them by name, make room for them, and be willing to share what Jesus has done in our lives. You don’t need every answer. You don’t need the perfect words. Sometimes the invitation can be as simple as, “Come and see.”

Who is your one? Take time this week to pray for them, love them well, and look for an opportunity to invite them to experience Jesus for themselves.

What if church was never meant to be about what you get, but about who you’re becoming?

It’s easy to approach church with a “feed me” mindset. Did I like the worship? Was the sermon good? Were my needs met? But Jesus didn’t call us to simply attend church or consume Christian content. He called us to follow Him, become disciples, and make disciples.

In this message, we look at the difference between being a consumer and being a disciple of Jesus. A consumer wants the church to conform to them. A disciple allows Jesus to transform them. As we grow in our faith, Jesus becomes more than our Savior. He becomes our King, shaping how we connect, grow, serve, give, and multiply.

The goal isn’t to stay spiritually dependent forever. It’s to move from “feed me” to “feed others.” 🌱

What happens when self takes the throne? 👑

In Week 4 of Fresh Start, we uncover how self-centeredness can quietly become a prison. When we put ourselves at the center, we begin trying to control our circumstances, our relationships, and the people around us. But control eventually fails, leaving behind anxiety, pain, broken relationships, and unhealthy ways of coping.

In this message, we trace the pathway from self-centeredness to strongholds and discover where real freedom begins. Jesus invites us to surrender the throne, stop pretending, and allow God’s grace to reshape the way we love Him and the people around us.

What labels have you been carrying that God never gave you?

Maybe your past, your mistakes, your struggles, or even the words someone spoke over you have shaped the way you see yourself. But Scripture tells us that if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old has passed away, and the new has come.

In Week 2 of Fresh Start, we look at how labels can become lies, how those lies can create strongholds, and how false identity can begin to shape our behavior. But real freedom doesn't come from simply trying harder or managing our behavior. It comes when we uncover the lie and replace it with the truth of who we are in Christ.

Your struggle may be part of your story, but it is not your identity. Your past does not get the final word. In Christ, you have been made new. 🙌
