Who is God? - Catechism

Who is God, really?
Many people believe in God, but often the version of God they reject isn't the God revealed in Scripture. Is He distant? Angry? Permissive? A cosmic therapist? Or is He something far greater than our assumptions and expectations?
In this message from our Catechism series, we explore one of life's biggest questions: Who is God? Discover why our view of God shapes everything—from how we worship and pray to how we handle suffering, fear, and uncertainty. Through Scripture, we'll see that God cannot be reduced to human categories and that the God who is beyond us is also the God who came near to us through Jesus Christ.
Whether you're a lifelong believer, asking hard questions about faith, or simply curious about Christianity, this message will challenge you to move beyond cultural assumptions and encounter the God of the Bible.
📖 Scriptures:
• Psalm 14:1
• Isaiah 55:8-9
• Job 38:3-7
• 1 John 4:16
• Romans 1:19-20

🔥 What if Christianity is bigger than you've been told?
Many people think Christianity is simply about saying a prayer, getting forgiven, and going to heaven someday. But what if that's only part of the story?
In this message, we explore the grand narrative of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. From the Garden of Eden to Babel, from Abraham to Jesus, and from Pentecost to the Day of the Lord, you'll discover how the Bible tells one unified story of a King, a Kingdom, and an invitation for humanity to come home.
This sermon tackles some of the Bible's most challenging and fascinating themes, including the unseen realm, spiritual rebellion, the Kingdom of God, salvation, repentance, and Christ's ultimate victory over evil.
The story you're living in is the story you're living out. Understanding God's story changes everything.
📖 Key Topics:
• What Christianity really is
• The Kingdom of God
• The Fall and humanity's separation from God
• The serpent and the promise of redemption
• Babel and the nations
• Jesus as the promised King
• Repentance and salvation
• The Day of the Lord

This message unpacks:

• The hidden danger of “convenient” decisions
• How God uses storms to get our attention
• The difference between knowing God and surrendering to Him

Encounter - Made to Worship
Sunday May 10, 2026
Sunday May 10, 2026
What if worship was never just about music?
In Week 5 of our Made to Worship series, we finish the journey through the tabernacle by exploring three final movements of worship: Enter. Encounter. Pray. Drawing from Hebrews 10, Isaiah 6, John 15, and the imagery of the tabernacle, Pastor Jason unpacks a powerful truth many of us miss:
Prayer was never meant to be rushed.
It was meant to flow from presence.
Too often we approach God emotionally chaotic, spiritually distracted, and looking only for answers. But the tabernacle teaches us a different pathway:
Prepare. Confess. Sacrifice. Cleanse. Enter. Encounter. Pray.
This message is a reminder that worship is more than songs, playlists, or emotional moments. It is communion with the living God.
In this episode/message:
• Why prayer appears near the END of the tabernacle journey
• What Hebrews says about entering God’s presence through Jesus
• The danger of becoming too familiar with holy things
• Why many believers stay spiritually “in the courtyard”
• The difference between wanting God’s help and wanting God Himself
• How worship leads us into deeper communion and awareness of God’s presence
Scripture References:
• Hebrews 10
• Isaiah 6
• John 15

Cleanse - Made to Worship
Sunday May 03, 2026
Sunday May 03, 2026
Step into a deeper understanding of worship as we continue our Made to Worship series with this powerful message on Cleanse. 🙌💧
So many of us have received forgiveness, yet still feel stuck. We’ve been to the altar, but we haven’t stepped into the freedom that comes from being fully cleansed. Why does God sometimes feel distant, even when we’ve done everything “right”?
In this message, we walk through the pattern of the tabernacle and uncover the purpose of the bronze laver. The altar covers our sin, but the laver cleanses our hearts. One deals with forgiveness. The other leads to freedom.
If you’re carrying guilt, shame, or unforgiveness, this message will challenge and encourage you to let go of what God never asked you to hold onto. You were not meant to stay stuck in the courtyard. You were made to enter His presence with freedom. ✨
Are you forgiven but still not free? This message is for you.

Hebrews 10:22

Sacrifice - Made to Worship
Sunday Apr 26, 2026
Sunday Apr 26, 2026
Made to Worship | Sacrifice
What does your worship actually cost you?
In this message from our Made to Worship series, we unpack a powerful truth: everyone worships something—and whatever you worship will cost you. The question isn’t if you’ll sacrifice… it’s what you’re sacrificing for.
From the Old Testament system of repeated sacrifices to the once-and-for-all sacrifice of Jesus, we see that cost alone doesn’t equal effectiveness—but Jesus changes everything. His sacrifice was sufficient, complete, and final. So now, our worship isn’t about earning—it’s a response.
Through the stories of King David and Mary anointing Jesus, we’re challenged to examine our own lives:
- Is your worship convenient or costly?
- Does it disrupt your comfort?
- Are you more focused on the cost… or on what Christ is worth?
Because at the end of the day:
Worship without cost is worship without worth.
If this message challenges you, encourages you, or makes you wrestle a bit—that’s a good thing. Lean into it.

Confess - Made to Worship
Sunday Apr 19, 2026
Sunday Apr 19, 2026
What if the breakthrough you’ve been praying for is on the other side of confession? 👀
In this powerful message from our Made to Worship series, we dive into the truth that confession isn’t about shame—it’s about freedom. Too often, we try to hide, manage, or cover up our struggles… but real healing begins when what’s in the dark is brought into the light.
Through the story of David (2 Samuel 11–12 & Psalm 51), we see how unconfessed sin isolates and distorts—but also how God’s grace meets us the moment we choose honesty. 🙏 Confession isn’t losing—it’s surrender. And in God’s Kingdom, surrender is where true worship begins.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, weighed down by guilt, or afraid to be fully known, this message is for you. You were never meant to fight your battles alone.
✨ It’s time to stop hiding and start healing.
✨ It’s time to trust God’s grace over your shame.
✨ It’s time to step into the freedom of confession.

Prepare - Made to Worship
Sunday Apr 12, 2026
Sunday Apr 12, 2026
What if the reason worship feels dry… isn’t God—but our preparation? 👀
In this message, “Prepare: Make Room for God,” we uncover a powerful truth: worship is not just a song you sing—it’s a life you live. Too often, we rush into God’s presence distracted, overwhelmed, and unprepared… and then wonder why we don’t experience Him deeply.
But Scripture shows us a better way.
Through the pattern of the tabernacle and the truth of Romans 12:1 and Hebrews 10:22, we discover that you don’t drift into worship—you intentionally enter it. God invites us in, but we choose how we come.
✨ What would change if you prepared your heart all week—not just on Sunday?
✨ What if you made room for God before the moment of worship?
This message will challenge you to slow down, live intentionally, and step into a deeper encounter with God every single day.
🙌 Don’t just show up—come prepared.
